Challenge

Challenge

  • Requests were submitted in different formats and often missed required context.
  • Approval ownership was unclear when teams changed or requests moved between departments.
  • Background updates, notifications, and inventory changes needed to run reliably without slowing down the user experience.
Solution

What we implemented

We modeled the portal around Laravel resource routes, Eloquent relationships, role policies, and queue jobs so the implementation remained maintainable as workflows expanded.

The interface brought request submission, approval review, inventory status, activity logs, and system health into a single operational view.

Laravel request and approval modules with policy-based access
Eloquent data model for requests, teams, inventory items, and activity logs
Queue jobs for notification and background processing
API status and role-policy health indicators for support visibility
Results

Impact snapshot

The portal gave operations teams a practical working system for request tracking and reduced the manual chasing previously required across email and spreadsheets.
